About a year ago I found the Trustix distro. Its a server centric distro
based on RH - so its RPM based. The installation is similar to RH -
bootable CD after you pull down the ISO. Updates are available via the
swup utility. As a bonus - swup handles all dependencies for you. The
community supported product is free - and the support is active and on-going.
I've been happy with this on my main server - which handles samba, mail,
squid, apache, PHP, mysql, etc. It also servers up my MP3 collection via
the TwonkyVision music server [to my netgear MP101] and via a browser using
Edna [sourceforge].
