[NTLUG:Discuss] kernel update problem to 2.6.11-1.14_FC3

I have a question for whoever may have an answer. I am trying to do my
first kernel update from 2.6.9-1.667 to 2.6.11-14_FC3.
During the original install a program ran after probing and setting up
the original kernel to 'trim the fat' so to speak, when I ran rpm update
for the newer kernel that didn't happen and it was a faster install to
my concern. Well when I got the message stating that install was
complete and please reboot, all went well until it came to the printer
where boot up freezes.
I would like to be able to edit the problem but I noticed that the
kernel config is some 54 megs so if anyone has a work around for this I
would appreciate it.
My 2.6.9-1.667 is using my Apollo P-2200 after I did my first set up
with no problem.
Thanks in advance for helping out the 'newbie'
Joe
