Yuk... no I haven't seen exactly this mess.  Sure look like
some kind of problem just negotiating... (cable, termination,
voltage).

Have you tried replacing the cable/terminators?

I supposed it's posible that it is a driver issue.  I have a SUSE 9.1
with many terabytes of disk on it and haven't a problem.  But
I'm not using a 7902 controller either.
