On the client host I set the servername to the name of the host with the 
printer, (even though I'm running cupsd on the client.)  I know this 
isn't exactly the "correct way", but it works and is a quick fix.  
Without setting it this way, some of the apps would print and some 
wouldn't, but I've never investigated why.
