[NTLUG:Discuss] re: SuSE 9.3 update from SuSE 8.2

Consider yourself lucky to be able to go from 8.2 to 9.3. I have an
old K6-2 box that absolutely positively will not work with a 2.6
kernel. What's amazing is that the old dog works as well as it does.
I get 50 fps playing armagetron and glxgears runs at 1200 'cuz of the
nvidia card and the Airlink wireless networking works thanks to
ndiswrapper. Etc, etc.

But it has come as far as it can.

As for your 'upgrade', I always do a fresh install especially when
going from one major rev to another.
