It really depends on what you need. If you are just looking for a
lightweight WM to launch a bunch of xterms, then you could use something
like XFCE. If you want a really sexy eye-candy look, then GNOME is
probably an option. If you want lots of functionality, KDE is great.
It just depends on what you want.
