Yeah - that's for sure.

To build a totally optical CPU of any description would be impressive.

To build one that's x86 compatible - amazing - and at >6GHz!

To have ALL of the circuitry be optical would be VERY suprising.

To have a Terabyte of any kind of RAM would be ground-breaking.
For it to be optical...yeah - we're taking Nobel prize here.

But to get all of that into a laptop and have it ready to go to
market without the news leaking out....Nah.  Not gonna happen.

...and if you were a chip company making some kind of ground
breaking release - why would you take the chance on all the funky
OS details like voice operated everything.

Think what they were claiming too - TOTALLY optical - everything
except the DVD drive.

So even the stupid low bandwidth analog circuitry that digitizes
the microphone?   Why on EARTH would you bother...beyond as a
proof of concept or something.

It wasn't remotely convincing.
