[NTLUG:Discuss] fedora 4 iso problem

All
(1) I downloaded the ISO images for Fedora 4 (4 disc)
(2) I checked the sums (sha1sum) - all good
(3) I burned the first CD-R - "cdrecord -v -eject speed=4 dev=0,0,0 
$FileName" - still all good
(4) I boot a desktop from this CD
(4.1) I get the Fedora screen, then the usual string of messages, all 
the way down to "running /sbin/loader" - then it seems to take a long 
time, and
(4.1.1) I get a whole series of messages flying by, ending up with:
        [<c041677c>] start_kernel+0x15c/0x1b0
... and then it stops there.

What up with that?  Thank you in advance for any help you may be able to 
offer.
