Canon's have been notoriously wicked with regards
to Linux. Not sure about this one...
See this thread...

This is probably overly complex. To test with a
print server, you just need a crossover cable from
the computer to the print server and both setup
with IPs that are likely on the same subnet (ideally
like your router would normally do). I have a crossover
adapter (turn a regular cable to a crossover).
I have my Epson C84 on a DLink router/print server
right now and that's how my family uses it. Mostly
from Linux.... both wired and wireless.
The folks normally in the LIP may have all of this
kind of stuff too.. not sure... but I can help..
either a the LIP or on my own time if you like.

A few of us have mobile phones with internet connectivity.
So it is possible if you have USB. Depending on who/what
is presented at the Nov meeting, perhaps I could hang
out at the LIP if you need internet via my phone.
Or I could set it up and leave as long as nobody runs
off with it!
Let me know directly if you want help outside of the
LIP.
My main worry is the Canon i550. The rest should be
child's play (well... achievable anyhow).
