That was what I was doing when I got the error.
Someone on a forum told me to cd /var/cache/apt/archives
then sudo dpkg -i --force-overwrite ubuntu-docs_5.10-6_all.deb
That seemed to fix it. When I went back to Synaptic It said I had no
more broken packages.
At first I thought the difference was Synaptic used
ubuntu-docs_5.10.6_all.deb and the archive had
ubuntu-docs_5.10-6_all.deb
But since I typed the error message because I can't copy the terminal
from Synaptic, I am now wondering if I made a typo in the error message.
Does anyone know where or if Synaptic logs its terminal?
The good news is that it works now.
