I've run RedHat, Knoppix, and Xandros on a Thinkpad X20.  Has worked  
great.  Screen, CD, floppy, HDD, sound, USB, networking, etc. has  
worked beautifully.  I've even hooked up a PCMCIA firewire drive to  
it: no problem.  The only thing that hasn't worked is the built-in  
modem, but there may be drivers for it now, too.
