[NTLUG:Discuss] Sony GC89 PCMCIA EDGE card

I am in a remote location south of Fort Worth, but 3 miles from the
I35W. No DSL, no wireless, only dialup (satellite is too expensive and
not too good from what I hear). So I just ordered this Sony GC89 EDGE
card hoping to move up to the 21st century. I want to use it in my
desktop (AMD64) so I need a PCI cardbus adaptor. Any recommendations?

I found this snippet from a forum which said the Ricoh model works:
http://www.linuxquestions.org/questions/showthread.php?postid=1780042

This site also seems to say there are certain chipsets that work:
http://www.elandigitalsystems.com/support/pfaq/plinux.php

Fry's carries S2G JJ-PC1012 but I can't tell if it is Linux compatible
or not. (Fry's didn't know)

Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks,

Stan Gatchel
