Google is your friend.

Just for kicks, I ran the error message I was getting into Google.  I
was surprised to find that Google had some references.

"ssh -X in openssh is obsolete.  Use ssh -Y".

Tried that.  It works.  I am now a very happy camper.  Thanks for the tips.
