I've pretty much given up using browser bookmarks due to the fact that
I was no longer able to keep everything synced up, and Firefox tends
to change the location and dirnames between revisions which precludes
an easy automated syncing process.  I now use the perl-based open
source bookmark blog at http://de.lirio.us (based on the Rubric
engine).  Very nice!    

It's also easy to write a script to export your de.lirio.us bookmarks
for off-line use...
