Wine would probably work and I'd investigate that first, but I've also
had trouble making Wine work right for some reason (probably me. :-)
I had great success with CrossoverOffice at a previous job. It allowed
me to run IE with sites that needed all kinds of ActiveX stuff built in,
maybe VBscript too though I'm not sure about that. They have a 30 trial
if you want to use it to find out before you have to buy. The
"standard" version is only $40, worth it in my book based on time and
frustration saved.
I already have VMware, so I'd just use that and ms-win2k personally.
Because of VMware, doing audio/video work is about the only reason I
ever reboot into native ms-windows mode anymore, as that kind of work
wants every CPU cycle it can find and then it still feels slow when
you're working on 90 minute files. :-)
HTH,
Kevin
