LUGs, in my opinion, certainly do matter. I have been doing Unix system
administration since 1992 and Linux system administration since 2001 and it
seems that there are always new areas, or ways, to learn about from someone
else. LUGs provide quick answers when a need arises and provide a friendship
that can't be beat.
