[NTLUG:Discuss] Desktop icons

I had this problem before and for the life of me can't remember
how I fixed it.
Plugged my jump drive in and it automounted, all normal
except this time when I removed it the desktop icon did not
disappear as usual. So I plugged it back in and it automounted 
and added a second icon (part2) and now that icon is stuck.
Logging out didn't help, nor did a reboot.
