[NTLUG:Discuss] Sending url in terminal window to firefox

I've just recently switched my desktop system to be running Linux
full-time (yay!), but there's a feature from my previous environment
that I find that I really miss.

In my previous environment, my ssh terminal would automatically detect
any url-looking items in the window, and clicking on the url would
automatically open it in a new browser window.

I haven't found a convenient way to do the same in KDE/Konsole.
A double-click in the Konsole window will highlight a url, but
I haven't been able to find or make a good mouse shortcut that
will automatically send the url to firefox.

Gnome-terminal comes close (right clicking on a url pulls up
a menu from which I can send the url to firefox) and I can use it,
but I wanted to see if anyone had other suggestions to get this
to work in Konsole, or other terminal programs I should look at.

Thanks!

Pm
