Umm, batch mode is similar and should save some time, but it's not quite
the same as doing both at the same time and it requires that both remote
systems be "identical". What I was thinking of was that both systems did
not need to be identical. The process would evaluate both remote systems
and keep tables of each so each would be updated only as need be. Also
note at least in my version 2.6.5 batch mode is listed as experimental.

All that said, if the remote systems are identical batch mode should
save a lot of time.
