None. One whitespace?
The reference was specifically to Google hits. I thought the "about.com"
site had some really useful information for macro writing.
Recently I was working on a format conversion problem where an
OpenOffice macro would solve the problem for Linux. I have done many
Excel macros so the question was intriguing. Years ago I ported a bunch
of Lotus 123 macros to Excel. Quite a challenge.
In my current need, I was able to create a more generic solution with
a Python program. If it had been just for my use on my machine,
I would have done the macro just for the experience.

No.
The claim is that if a macro runs on OpenOffice it will run on Star Office.
I have not tested this nor the reverse from Star Office to OpenOffice
and do not know anyone who has.
