The company I work for (L3 Link Simulation in Arlington) uses and sells
Linux systems as a part of the flight simulators we build. Some of the
systems I work on have between 40 and 50 diskless Linux-based PC's that
cooperate to display spectacularly high resolution graphics on the
inside of dome-like displays. We mostly do work in the field of
Military flight simulation.

Linux is vastly better suited to these realtime applications -
especially in an intensively networked system with diskless
computers. We rely on good support for OpenGL graphics with
nVidia graphics cards.
