[NTLUG:Discuss] Ubuntu and X video problem

In order to get TwinView working on a dual monitor system, I installed
nvidia driver version 1.0-8756. I removed the Ubuntu nvidia driver. The
nvidia version installs fine and I let it run nvidia-xconfig. Then I do
startx and it starts fine with TwinView.

But then when I reboot, X fails. Below is part of the log file. (The
"good" parts.) Any ideas on what I need to do to get driver working
after reboots?

I have an ASUS video card and motherboard. But I think this is an Ubuntu
issue, not a hardware or nvidia issue. It almost looks like a different
xorg.config file is being referenced after the reboot. (???)

Any help is appreciated.

Thanks,

Ed
