Another problem is anonymity.  If I want to send anonymous email now,
its possible.  A system that is capable of keeping out spammers would
likely not allow anonymity, and that's a necessity.

For the sake of debate, why do you see the ability to send anonymous email as a necessity?

The only reasons I can see with just a couple of minutes of thought are HR and tipline types of things,  and on those, there are some fairly easy work-arounds
