- Dissidents of all kinds
- Government spying by China, U.S., North Korea, and other places.
- Mailing lists dealing with corporate misbehavior, environmental
issues, government corruption, and the list goes on.

Granted, some of these may be replaced by blogs or other access methods,
but for small groups, email is still the most transparent and easiest to
use for some.
