Hopefully they've up'd their compensation.  Last time they offered me a
position it was for about half of market rate.  I've hired or been in on
the hiring of people they've let go and given them huge raises above
whar RS was paying them.

I like their service/product line, but I'd do my homework on cost of
living and pay rate for similar positions before I spoke with them.
I think they probably pay very junior people something close to market,
but if you have a few years experience they may offer way way below what
you can get elsewhere as a linux admin.

Just do your homework before you talk to _ANY_ employer.  spend a few
hours, and some $$ (~$25-$75 will get you detailed compensation info for
your target job) researching what a job should pay and how you fit into
such a position.

A good book on the subject is "Negotiating your salary - how to make
$1,000 a minute".
