AH!  there it is! I 'Googled' for:  Concatenation JBOD     I could *NOT* 
find that the other day for some reason!  {shakes head}

 From Wikipedia...the FIRST hit: "JBOD - disks are merely concatenated 
<http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Concatenate> together, end to beginning, 
so they appear to be a single large disk."

Hmm...ok... well that's not what I want.  I'll stick with the drives in 
'single' mode.
