I'm not an IT guy. I never used Unix. I got to computing late enough that
I never really learned DOS but I REALLY like the idea of Linux and
open source.
  I have had good luck with Fedora and Suse but there seemed to be
much more information available for solving problems in Ubuntu. The
forums and mailing list are very good. Ubuntu seems better for my
situation. I now have friends and family members using it too.
  Ubuntu probably isn't for the CLI masters but it's a great way for guys
with my level of skill to get good start with Linux.
