mplayer will play the Quicktime version of the video.

My path to watching the video=>

- Attempt to load the Quicktime version through browser-plugin.
- get told I had no plugin to support playing 
<http://www.hbo.com/av/billmaher/season3/b_maher_netanyahu_ref.mov>
- wget -c http://www.hbo.com/av/billmaher/season3/b_maher_netanyahu_ref.mov
- turns out b_maher_netanyahu_ref.mov is a SMILtext file
- page through file to find path to actual video file
- wget -c  
http://progressive.stream.aol.com/turner/gl/hbo/billmaher/season3/b_maher_netanyahu_384_dl.mov
- mplayer b_maher_netanyahu_384_dl.mov
