Hmmm...if it ain't one thing...it's another?!

Tonight went to start-up VMware Server (the free one) on my SuSE10.1
system...(that recently upgraded to kernel 2.6.16.21-0.21-smp) and when I
click the icon to start...it appears to be doing something (getting the
'hour-glass' for a bit)...then it stops? but no VMware console?

checked my directory where I store the virtual machine files...found
'vmware.log'...but nothing was dated today? So went to /var/log/vmware
and found 'vmware-serverd.log'...which didn't have anything when I tried
the icon...BUT...when I tried:

vmrun start 'path to vmx file'

the log file generated the error "Please make sure that the kernel module
`vmmon' is loaded."

Ah - HA!...tried the old 'modprobe vmmon'...with no luck....but remembered
that I just upgraded kernels...I would probably have to rebuild that
module!

SO....I ran "vmware-config.pl"....and followed all of the prompts...then,
voila! it worked.

So...if you're running into the same problem - give the ole
'vmware-config.pl' command a try.
