>From the doubt link referenced earlier, going up a directory, it looks
like some important buffer handling is only properly handled by reiser
and xfs, and not in all modes. Other fs: ext2, ext3, jfs didn't do well
in the tests for proper use of the write barrier. I am not sure of the
full implications of this, but it tells me that you could potentially
get crash conditions that would lead to corrupted meta data with the
other filesystems due to improper handling of the drive controllers
write buffer.
