Daniel:

What about using Samba to print from the Linux machine to
the Windows Fax printer?

Is it possible? Yes. It's just data moving across wires after all. Samba
was possible before it happened too. Unfortunately, no idea how to do it
unless someone were to uncover some documentation on what methods and
protocols are used in transmission.

That said, if I were to guess, and this is purely speculation, I would
thing that the protcol is nothing more than some fax dialing and header
information followed by some GDI information similar (if not identical) to
what Windows uses for its printing.

But without specs, general assumptions would be kinda useless.
