Gilbert:
Not sure what I am looking for there. AFAIK there is no entry in /etc/fstab for
/dev/hdc any more since there is no longer "automount". It is handled by
hal and ivman, or so it seems. Actually, it ain't being handled by anything
on this puter and that's why I am so p.o.'ed.
I almost suspect some permissions problem but I haven't found one yet.
Does anyone running Suse 10.2 have their DVD working and, if so, would
they be willing to help me do a "stare and compare" to track down the
problem?
Suse, in their infinite wisdom, really tried to make it better to the point of
making it unuseable. I would really like to figure out how to make it work
so I don't have to throw in the towel and change distros, especially since
I have dumped in so much time on this "upgrade".
Thanks,
Fred
