I run Debian Unstable (have now for about 8 or so years) and have used
Gnucash for at least 6 years. I imported my data from Quicken initially
and everything worked fine. Initially Gnucash was lacking in a few
areas compared to Quicken but it has improved quite a bit since then and
has some small business features as well. I'm using version 2.0.5 now
and the only thing I wish right now is that the reports were a little
more flexible.
