[NTLUG:Discuss] Ubuntu (actually Linux Mint) is rewriting xorg.conf files?

Googling for this didn't seem to really come up with anything/the same
problem.

While logged in - I run the nVidia config program (the
graphical one) and have it detect and setup a second monitor under
twinview.....have it write that to the xorg.conf file.  System works
as expected.

When I reboot - something is rewriting the
xorg.conf files and removing my twinview setup....any ideas on how to make
it permanent?
