The Package Manager makes it easy to install programs. I just selected
GnuCash, clicked Apply, and the package was installed, libs updated, and
so on. No sweat.

I'm getting scsi error messages from the kernel at startup time that I
think I should not be getting. Something left over from a bad install.
The net effect is to make startup a little slow. But I'll deal with this
later.
