[NTLUG:Discuss] rebooting WinXP Home with Samba's 'net rpc'

Has anyone here rebooted Windows XP Home from a Linux machine using
Samba's 'net rpc shutdown' command?

http://www.die.net/doc/linux/man/man8/net.8.html

Can 'net rpc' be used to shutdown a Windows XP Home machine? Do I need
to do some magic on the XP Home machine for it to accept RPC requests? A
search on google doesn't give me a clear answer since most hits are to
pages that are at least two years out of date and seem to target Windows
NT or Server. I'd try this myself, except that, unfortunately, I don't
have access to a Windows XP Home machine right now.

Thanks in advance for any pointers in the right direction.

Regards,
- Robert
