An awesome and inspirational way to 'skin the cat'!  Congrats!!   And 
for what it's worth, I don't see it as a kludge.  I see it as a 
solution.  You should patent that workflow.  I hear they are taking 
patents for ANYTHING these days!  You could then sell the patent and 
become a billionaire! :)
