Slackware was my first Linux distro and I used it for 4 or 5 years 
before even touching another one. Then I got a job where I had to learn 
RH. Been doing that for 4 years now so I've even switched to Fedora at 
home. I went through a brief gentoo phase but frustrations with emerge 
made me go back to Fedora.

But, alas sometimes I miss the simplicity of Slackware. Like a few weeks 
ago when I had to rebuild my Fedora 7 kernel. What a nightmare. In my 
Slackware days I remember downloading new kernels dropping then in 
/usr/src and compiling in no time. Yay! for happy memories! ..... (sigh, 
I'm such a nerd.)
