>From an KDE Konqueror window.. find the ttf file (for example)
that you have downloaded from the internet (or however) and right
click on it... go to Actions you'll see an Install action.
If you have root privs, you can install it system wide, otherwise,
just choose Personal.

For example, download:
http://www.webpagepublicity.com/free-fonts/w/Webdings.ttf

Open up Konqueror, locate the Webdings.ttf file, right click -> Actions
-> Install.
