- Anyone had experience with it?

- Based on what I can find, the DD460 is a fiber connected disk based
- tape library emulator. I assume from their web site that I will need
- software capable of backing up to a tape library system.
-
- Does anyone know of an Open Source back up system that talks to tape
- libraries? Specifcally one that can talk to a DD460?
Both amanda and backula talk to tape libraries, assuming
the tape libraries speak the standard SCSI library protocols.
I use amanda with Exabyte EXB-120, EXB-480, and
Compaq/HP DLT libraries.
Fundementally, if mtx(1) can talk to the library, and
make it move tapes, either one of the above should be able to
work with it.
