Looks like an interesting project. All I'd ask is please don't 'paint
it into a corner', and keep it flexible for those who like to compile
and/or install binaries. It would be nice.
I am surprised though that sourceforge.net would let you host an entire
linux distribution on there, as I've seen many people try to register
distributions on there before, and have seen it rejected. I think I've
seen the most common reason sourceforge.net rejects hosting the distros
is simply because of the sheer volume of traffic and support that they
don't think they can handle without impacting the other projects.
About the other comments I've seen in this thread, I'll refrain from
adding my comments here....they really do belong in another thread. The
only thing I have to say here is that the "Not Invented Here" syndrome
is a major problem with a lot of the binary distro crowd (especially
Ubuntu users), and a major problem with NTLUG. I'd suggest further
feedback on my comment becomes another thread btw (not that anybody
actually pays attention to my suggestions). Why, yes, Mr.
Browning....this is a hit & run comment.
