I suppose I'll get an LCD with a DVI input. Too bad that means I
need to get a new video card.

Are any video cards with DVI outputs especially compatible with the
Linux kernel?

Also, since I'm planning to use two monitors, I guess I'll need a
PCI card and an AGP card, or two PCI card, or a suitable multi-head
card. I want to use a dual-monitor setup such as I had a few years
ago, before I gave one of my monitors to my kids' computer but was
too cheap to replace it.

Does anyone have a dual-monitor setup using GNU/Linux that they are
satisfied with, and in particular a setup that uses free software?
