I want to use a micro-distro of Linux called Cult - basically an RDP
client only (about 7 meg iso) For whatever reason the distro has a 5 minute timeout - they (Codtech http://codtech.com/) do
provide instructions to fix it - but I have had no luck in making it work.
This would be a great lab OS if I could edit out the timeout.

Tell us more about this five minute timeout and what the instructions are for fixing it. Unfortunately you haven't provided much information
for us to work off of.

How can I remove the demo timeout in the RDP session ?

In your Linux box mount the ISO usng a loop in any directory, for example /tmp/cdromExtract the contents of /tmp/cdrom/cult/cult.img using gunzip and cpio

 gunzip -c < /tmp/cdrom/cult/cult.img | cpio -ivdum

Edit conf/cult.conf and set RDESKTOP_TIMEOUT=0
SaveRebuild the initramfsRebuild the ISO image Frankly, I have gotten as far as extracting the cult.img file with gzip and editing the cult.conf file with abiword. I suspect my reassembling guesswork of the ISO is the source of my frustration.
Is there an application that will easily accomplish the extraction/editing and reassembling of the linux iso or someone
that would be willing to help?
 Thanks in advance,
