[NTLUG:Discuss] Cisco vpn client 4.8 with SuSE 10.3

Chris, if you can find out which version of 4.8 works(and where to get it)
and any patch(es) that need to apply,  that would be appreciated.

I think I was applying a patch for version of 4.8.00 to another version
=4.8.01(below) which was not working.
My employer only supplies version 4.6 of the cisco client. So I have
downloaded several versions of 4.8 and tried these with and without
patches with no success.

I have not tried it... However, my network guy at the office
has and had to get a patch from Cisco (I think) in order to
make it work.

Not sure about the patch... I'll have to ask him next
week.

Depending on how your Cisco VPN is setup, you can use the
much more stable and faster vpnc (open software) product
to talk to a Cisco VPN concentrator.

There are some scenarios that won't allow this though.
Fortunately, where I work, both will work though.
