[NTLUG:Discuss] Video Conferencing in Linux

Guys/Gals,

I'm having a bugger of a time and can't seem to find
the solution.  I'd like to setup a point-to-point video chat with
another computer (on another network).  Originally searching for
GnomeMeeting brought me to Ekiga - which seemed to install and find the
right equipment (I'm using a V4L: compatible camera that is usb connected
and had built-in camera).  Setup seems to work (I can see the VU
meter levels and hear audio that's being spoken into the mic - and I can
see local video well).

When I establish a call to another SIP
user, we connect - but can only view local video....it doesn't seem to
allow remote video (i.e. he can't see me and I can't see him - we can only
see ourselves).

I'm trying to find Ekiga's log - but no luck
and online searches don't seem to point to real issues and docs.

 - Thanks - dave
