Ditto for me too.

My broadcomm wireless card worked perfectly and painlessly with the latest Ubuntu (7.10, amd64 version).

I even switched from wep to wpa without a hitch...

Good luck with yours, and I agree that Fedora needs to take notice..

WEP, open, and WPA personal.  No issues under Ubuntu.

apt-get install bcm43xx-fwcutter

Wish the other distros (Fedora!  You listening????) could get it to work
at all.
