Right... well we've already agreed on that. 

Evn so, I have the moral high-ground and I'll do what it takes to get 
what needs to be done -- done.  I will STILL fight this battle with the 
ISP though because it is NOT right and there may be other devices placed 
on this network to which I have no control.

oh.. and there *IS* a firewall on this box...and now there are 
additional rules to prevent outbound private networks (just like rfc1918 
recommends).
