While you're at it point out to them that automation is a good thing and 
it's not happening soon in the GUI world (although it could if MS would 
get their head out of the sand on the issue).  Show them the DOS 'for' 
command, it's in "their world" and is about the closest MS has come to a 
real shell (and it's not real close).  If they get that then hopefully 
they will be interested in the power of the command prompt (in any 
world, including Linux).
