Route a port on your firewall to port 5500 on you desktop.
vncviewer -listen 5500
On windows box, install VNC
Then right click the VNC icon in the lower right corner, select "add a
connection" ( or something like that) and have them enter the IP of your
firewall:5500.
Voila, you have VNC access to their machine and they didn't do anything
more complex than type in the IP of your firwall (:5500)
