Rev. wRy suggest torn of ipv6
and I follow the link:
http://blog.taragana.com/index.php/archive/how-to-disable-ipv6-on-fedora-linux-why/
it does not work for ma at all!
1. on /etc/modprobe.conf: add these 2 lines make my ether up failed.
alias net-pf-10 off
alias ipv6 off
(error message is something like cannot find module: off)
2. i don't see /etc/sysconfig/network containing NETWORKING_IPV6
I can only do
/sbin/service ip6tables stop and
/sbin/chkconfig ip6tables off
It don't solve the slow connection problem.

I use the same hardware, it more then 5 years old.
I hope it is not true to me or I will back the the old version.

2 NICs, one for DHCP and the other one is assigned 192.168... address. both of them bind with MAC address, with correct wired/connection.
My 2 NICs are compaq and via Rhine II
but I see the it "says" (in /etc/modprobe.conf)
alias eth0 Rhine
alias eth1 Rhine
Is it cause the problem?
